In permanent contact with the Health Authorities, the Barcelona International Summer School has been monitoring the situation in order to offer all participating students a fruitful and safe academic experience.
At present, and considering the worldwide situation caused by the spread of the COVID-19, they have evaluated different alternative scenarios and have decided the transition of the BISS 2020 to a remote learning format.
The Barcelona International Summer School will be offering a selection of courses instructed remotely, representing all the UPF areas of knowledge to provide UPF and international students alike with an opportunity to reflect on current issues and advance credits during the Summer in an international virtual experience. Moreover, some of the selected courses will address the impact of the COVID-19 situation from different perspectives: health, society, culture and communication.
