Incoming Erasmus+ students for Internship in Panteion University

Information for incoming students who wish to carry out an Erasmus+ internship in one of Panteion University's Research Institutes or a Research Centers/Labs, in Athens, Greece
 

In order to receive an Acceptance Letter for your Internship, you should send an application (with your CV attached in PDF file via e-mail) to a Professor, who is the director of a Research Institute or a Research Center/Lab of the relevant Academic Department (related to your studies). Language requirements: If you're not fluent in Greek, you should present an official English language certificate of level B2 (minimum). This is the web page of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language skillsYou should have in mind, that an interview by Teaching Staff Members (via Skype or MS Teams) will take place most probably in English.  


For international students, residents outside the Schengen Area, a Schengen visa (entry and residence permit in Greece) is required.

Procedures Before the Mobility:

After receiving the Letter of Acceptance from a Panteion University's Research Institute or a Research Center/Lab, you should forward/submit it to the Erasmus Office of your home University.

They will provide you with the Learning Agreement for Traineeships before the Mobility form of the relevant academic year.

This form should be sent to the Professor responsible for your internship in Panteion University. They would be the Supervisor at the Receiving Organisation. (The same person, who signed your Letter of Acceptance.)


Documents & Forms required by the Erasmus+ Placement Program:

(you should send them in PDF files via email to the Erasmus Placement office of Panteion a month before the start of your mobility)

1. European Health Insurance Card (if you are eligible)

2. Mandatory insurance policies*:

A. full health insurance (against bodily injuries or death, personal accident, sudden illness, hospitalization, etc.) in the workplace and body repatriation expenses.
B. material damage - bodily injuries - financial losses of third parties caused by negligent omissions (due to errors).
The insurance company you selected should provide you with an Insurance Certification in English for your Erasmus+ traineeship in Athens, Greece stating the specific period of your stay. This is not a travel insurance! 

*The standard Erasmus+ insurance policies are usually valid in all European Countries, but if you plan to travel outside the Schengen Area it should definitely be mentioned.

3. Schengen visa (entry and residence permit in Greece) required for international students, residents outside the Schengen Area.

4. Copy of your Passport and ID card (scanned in a PDF file, photos from mobile phones are not accepted)

5. Recent ID type color photo for your free meals Panteion restaurant card. Download here the application MS Word form. Please fill in all the fields. Applications without a photo are not accepted.


 

Upon your arrival at Panteion University:

Book an appointment via e-mail with the Erasmus+ Placement contact/responsible person, as you should visit our Office to collect your documents:

A. The Certificate of Arrival, which you can use as confirmation for your home University. Should your home university require a specific form for this purpose, do not forget to carry it on the day of your appointment. In case you’re not provided with any form, please let us know at least a week prior to your arrival and we'll prepare one for you.

B. Your free meals restaurant Card provided by Panteion’s Welfare Department.


Welcome to Panteion! Don’t forget to present your passport or ID.


 

Departure procedure:

1. At least fifteen (15) days before the end of your Internship you should send to your Supervisor (Professor/Mentor) in Panteion University the completion forms provided by your home University.


2. After you receive them* signed by the Professor (via email) you should book an appointment with the Erasmus+ Placement responsible person in our Office to collect the originals (in paper) only if it is mandatory in your home University. The Erasmus+ Program guidelines (EWP) encourage the usage of digital and scanned signatures. This procedure may need five (5) working days. Plan in advance!
